In 1980, Cristofori began with a simple dream: to bring music into every Singaporean home. Guided by the vision of our founder, Mr. J.B. Wong, what started as a humble piano servicing workshop in Joo Chiat, over the years, blossomed into Singapore’s largest music company, leaving a lasting mark on countless lives.

A Legacy of Musical Excellence

At the heart of Cristofori is a commitment to making music education and quality instruments accessible to everyone. Over the past 45 years, we have taught over a million students and delivered more than 60,000 pianos to homes across Singapore. Our name, inspired by Bartolomeo Cristofori, the inventor of the piano, reflects our dedication to nurturing a love for music.

We’ve grown from one humble workshop to more than 30 centers across Singapore, making learning music convenient for families in every neighborhood. This commitment to accessibility and quality has earned us accolades such as the Singapore Heartland Enterprise Star Award and the Singapore Prestige Brand Award (SPBA) – Heritage Brands.

Nurturing Generations of Musicians

Music is a lifelong gift, and Cristofori strives to keep playing an active role in shaping Singapore’s music landscape. With 450 passionate music teachers, we nurture students not just to perform but to develop creativity, discipline, and resilience. As Education Minister Chan Chun Sing recently noted, music builds essential life skills—a belief we uphold every day.

Our initiatives like the Cristofori Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) and the Kayserburg Music School expand opportunities for students to explore the European Sound that has defined western classical music for centuries and continues to be the global standard of excellence, giving the our students and the public access to instruments by the world’s most prestigious manufacturers for piano such as C.Bechstein, Seiler, Zimmerman, and Ritmuller from Germany, W.Hoffman, Petrof from Czech Republic, guitars from Spanish masters at Alhambra, Raimundo and now Esteve, and a variety of Italian handmade violins.

A 45th Anniversary to Remember

This year, Cristofori is celebrating its 45th Anniversary with events that bring the joy of music to the forefront. The Oxygen Talent Festival and the Singapore Asia Youth Piano Competition are among the highlights, fostering a vibrant community of budding musicians around Singapre and the wider Southeast Asia region.
